Ceasok

Demaran Bard

Description:
Bio:
Ceasok grew up in small town where his parents were caring farmers. But life moved to slow, it was too boring. Ceasok was interested in music and the magic of the world, not in doing the same menial tasks day after day. However, there was an old Bard in the town, and a well respected one at that.
The custom of the town was that at the age of 12 all kids went off to various schools and mentors to learn their parent’s trade. Ceasok was to learn agriculture, which he soon learned was not possible He couldn’t sit through the boring lessons on seeds and planting seasons, O the planting seasons! He of course knew all of it was necessary, but he couldn’t fathom doing it day in and day out for the rest of his life. With all this in mind, Ceasok went to the old bard he had heard of and asked to be his apprentice. With a bit of pestering he was able to convince the bard to mentor him in exchange for the completion of boring, laborious tasks the bard did not wish to do.
Over time, the two grew close. The old bard saw in Ceasok what others did not, that being his drive for music and the arts. He eventually stopped asking for payment so he could spend more time molding Ceasok’s mind, teaching him short fables, epic tales and masterful poems. Ceasok found comfort in his various instruments, specifically the lute and flute combo, and was able to express himself in ways he had never comprehended before, and he was grateful to his mentor for that.
One day without a word the old bard left. He gave Ceasok no notice, no way to find him and no goodbye. Ceasok was heartbroken to say the least, and it reflected on him. At 16 the man he had most admired had left without a trace, without a single sign that he had ever been there. The next few years were that of grieving at the loss of a friend and planning his leave from home. When he finally did leave it was unceremonial, just as his mentor had done. He left his home during the night, likely never to return. He now roams the world in search of adventure, fame and the man he once knew. Perhaps he will find him, perhaps he won’t. Who knows?
